The Refugee Expressive Art Project
The Refugee Expressive Art Project is an intercultural learning exchange that focuses on preserving refugee folk traditions, including music, dance, and handcrafts such as yarn and beadwork. The program fosters cultural sharing and understanding through collaborative sessions with MPH students from Upstate Medical University.
Rooted in mutual respect and shared values, this initiative brings together refugee women from diverse cultural backgrounds, offering them a space to express themselves, support one another, and build community through art and tradition.
