RISE After School Program
RISE offers an After School Program designed to create a safe and supportive environment for refugee and immigrant students. This program provides personalized homework assistance, encourages creativity through engaging activities, and promotes physical activity and social interaction.
Our goal is not only to strengthen academic foundations in math and literacy through one-on-one support, but also to foster confidence, encourage civic awareness, and reignite a passion for learning through fun and meaningful experiences.
The program runs four days a week—Monday through Thursday—from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and is open to students in 1st through 8th grade. We strive to cultivate a welcoming space where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
We are always in need of dedicated volunteers who can consistently participate at least once a week. Volunteers play a vital role in building trust and forming lasting connections with our students. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us at info@syracuserise.org for more information.
