Throughout the year, RISE hears from many in the community who wish to donate specific items that we need. In-kind donation drop-offs are accepted at the RISE Southside Office, 302 Burt St., Syracuse, NY 13202 during our office hours, Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM. Tax-deductible donation receipts are additionally available upon request.
KEEP IN MIND: At the moment, we are not accepting large furniture donation request!
For your convenience, RISE has a list of items that the population we serve needs on this easy to skim list. Items in bold are more requested than others, though we do accept all the donations listed below.
Education Program Wish List
–Traditional Classroom Supplies: Notebooks, folders, writing utensils, crayons & washable markers, rulers, small hand calculators, glue, scissors, wipe boards
–Creative/Fun Supplies: Construction and poster papers, cloths and other textured/craft supplies, easels and watercolor paints, chalks, sketchbooks, board/interactive games
–Backpacks to give to program students with identified need for one
Winter Clothing Drive Wish List:
-Coats, mittens/ gloves, winter hats, boots, snowsuits, socks, sweaters/heavy sweatshirts, scarves, blankets and comforters
Family Wish List:
–Gift Certificates: Area Superstores (Walmart, Target, K-Mart, Family Dollar), Area Department Stores (Kohls, Macy’s), Area Supermarkets (Wegmans, Tops, Aldi’s, PriceRite), Area Shoe Stores (especially Payless), Area Pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid), Gas Cards.
–Baby/Infant Supplies: Diapers, child wipes, burp clothes, baby slings/carriers, new or used car seats, strollers, toys or games for all ages, baby gates, formula
–Household Products/Supplies: Household cleaners, laundry detergents, vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, lightly used pots or pans, alarm clocks
–Personal Products: Shampoos and conditioners, soaps and body washes, deodorants, feminine products, hand sanitizers, razors and shaving creams, toothbrushes and toothpaste
–Bedding and Linens: Blankets/comforters, bed pillows, sheets, sleeping bags
