RISE After School Program
RISE hosts an After School Program that provides a safe space for refugee and immigrant students to ask for targeted homework help, let their creativity loose through engaging activities, and simply play and remain active with one another.
The program looks not only to offer 1-on-1 assistance that reinforce math and literacy skills, but we also seek to incorporate fun activities that boost self-confidence, instill a sense of civic-engagement, and re-invoke a love for learning.
Running four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) from 4:30PM-6:30PM for students between 1st-8th grade, we seek to foster a welcoming environment that allows every child to truly thrive.
We are always looking for genuine and consistent volunteers dedicated to attending at least one day of programming per week in order to establish meaningful relationships. If you find yourself interested in volunteering, email email@example.com for more information.
