Education Outreach Internship

Note: The Case Management and Employment Services Opportunity is open to all majors, provided the applicant exhibits a detail-oriented approach.

-Shadow the Education Coordinator, Executive and Associate Executive Directors, Bridging Case Managers, IDA Case Managers, and various coordinators and staff to familiarize oneself with RISE and the work conducted at the center.

-Facilitate instruction in the classroom and adhere to best education practices.

-Assist the Education Coordinator with the drafting and instituting of program procedures and curriculum.

-Offer general support to staff members as necessary or assigned.

-Carry and conduct oneself in a professional manner, exemplifying the mission and vision of RISE.

Expected Outcomes

-Help facilitate the empowerment of RISE’s clients.

-Become better informed about the difficulties faced by and the varied experiences of New Americans.

-Contribute to the improvement of program, staff knowledge, and general service to its clients.

-Develop the skills necessary to succeed in an administrative setting.

-Assist the Education Coordinator in the drafting and editing of program and broader organizational documents.
-Participate and/or Lead ESL Courses on Assigned Days.
