Bridging Case Management and Employment Services Internship

Note: The Case Management and Employment Services Opportunity is open to all majors, provided the applicant exhibits a detail-oriented approach.

-Shadow the Executive and Associate Executive Directors, Bridging Case Managers, IDA Case Managers, and various coordinators and staff to familiarize oneself with RISE and the work conducted at the center.

-Assist the Employment Coordinator in locating employment opportunities; producing and revising cover letters, resumes, and other employment documents; and providing training opportunities for newly arrived refugees.

-Assist Bridging Case Managers at the reception desk, with phone calls, and by offering logistical support/customer service for clients.

-Assist the Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Program Coordinator in the marketing, accounting, and administration of the IDA Program.

-Assist the Associate Executive Director in the drafting and editing of programming and broader organizational documents.

-Offer general support to staff members as necessary or assigned.

-Carry and conduct oneself in a professional manner, exemplifying the mission and vision of RISE.

Expected Outcomes

-Help facilitate the empowerment of RISE’s clients.

-Become better informed about the difficulties faced by and the varied experiences of New Americans.

-Contribute to the improvement of programming, staff knowledge, and general service to its clients.

-Develop the skills necessary to succeed in an administrative setting.
